About The Author

Short Bio: Barbara Alice Anderson is the author and creator of the gritty noir crime series, Ladies Of The Garden. Spanning a dark, character-driven universe born out of her work with visual media and production, her stories explore grey morality and the fierce realities of justice when the system fails to protect the innocent.

Long Bio: Barbara Alice Anderson is the author and creator of the Ladies of the Garden noir crime seiries, which includes her debut novel, Ladies Of The Garden and The Case Of Lila Hart. Her journey into the universe began not with an outline, but with a visual sketch for her production company, GakFace Productions-a striking silhouette of a 1950s housewife colliding with punk rock. That singular design evolved into Lola, a living force in combat boots who demanded her own world, quickly ollowed by an ensemble of equally sharp, uncompomising women named Molly, Fannie, Jewel, Estelle, and JoAnne.

For Barbara, writing is a matter of profound responibility and truth, allowing her characters to dictate their own cadence, dialogue, and arcs naturally as her fingers hit the keyboard. To ground the emotionalarchitecture and heavy stakes of her world, she poured her heart into a grueling visual production schedule consisting of 10 distinct photoshoots. Spending two days to complete each individual shoot, the entire visual project took roughly 20 days of dedication to bring the physical presence and raw textures of the women into the light. Now independently publishing her work across prent, e-book, and digital serialization platforms, Anderson balances her creative universe from Oklahoma, dedicated to witnessing and capturing the stories of characters who refuse to be quiet.
